The BOLFA 2018 workshop will be held in Dubrovnik on August 25/26 during the weekend right before the EAAP Annual Meeting.

The one and a half day workshop covers five major topics:

  1. Mammary development
  2. Regulation and manipulation of milk secretion at different stages of lactation
  3. Alternatives to the 305-d standard lactation
  4. Old and new indicators in milk for health status and metabolic load
  5. New developments in milking routines.

The sessions will consist of invited oral presentations and selected short communications. In addition, posters will be presented related to the major topics and to various other topics in the field of lactation in farm animals. The presentations will mainly focus on farm animal species including cow, sow, sheep, and goat, but also presentations on other mammalian animal species of interest will be included.
